In My Father's Files
My father has been a writer all his life. He took courses from Wallac Stegner and Wendell Berry in college. He has written poetry, short stories, essays, and yet most of his work has never been read by anyone. As we go through his filing cabinets and file boxes, sifting through a lifetime of papers and books, we find hand written, or typewriter typed, little amber gems, time capsules, dusty, faded, brittle, pieces of paper with my dad's life experiences dashed out on them.
